Tom Taylor - September 7, 2018

Speaking in a recent interview with RTSport, Jon Jones had the chance to launch some return fire. Jon Jones’ main gripe with Colby Covington, he says, is the way he bends the truth. In that way, Jones feels Covington is quite similar to Chael Sonnen.

Tom Taylor - August 17, 2018
Earlier this summer, UFC interim welterweight champion Colby Covington made good on a longstanding promise and visited President Donald Trump at the Whitehouse. It was a feel good moment for the American welterweight, and one that many members of the MMA community doubted he’d pull off. Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping was among the doubters of Colby Covington’s White House plans. As such, Covington was happy to rub it in the Brit’s face once the visit to the Oval Office had been made.

Earlier this month, UFC 228 welterweight title challenger Darren Till came under fire when he suggested that he didn’t care about anything other than winning the title from champ Tyron Woodley — not even his pregnant girlfriend or his young daughter. “I’ve got a girlfriend who’s nearly seven months pregnant,” Till said. “I don’t really care. Tom Taylor - August 14, 2018
UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley will attempt his next title defense in the main event of UFC 228 on September 8, when he takes on undefeated British striker Darren Till. Originally, of course, it was expected that Woodley’s next title defense would pit him against current interim welterweight champion Colby Covington. Yet the UFC wanted to book the fight for UFC 228, and when Covington wasn’t able to accept that date, the promotion gave the shot to Till. Colby Covington believes that was a serious error on the UFC’s part. By his estimation, UFC 228 is doomed to be a pay-per-view disaster.
EXCLUSIVE | Colby Covington interested in fighting "little f***ing b***h" Georges St-Pierre in Toronto
Tom Taylor - August 13, 2018
Despite the fact that he recently captured the UFC interim welterweight title, Colby Covington will not get the next crack at undisputed welterweight champ Tyron Woodley. Instead, that opportunity will go to Darren Till. The pair meet at UFC 228 on September 8. While Covington is keen to fight the Woodley-Till winner as soon as possible, he’d also be interested in taking another fight in the meantime — such as a showdown with former UFC welterweight and middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre, who has recently been linked to a potential return at UFC 231 in Toronto in December.

Tom Taylor - August 12, 2018
When Colby Covington defeated Rafael dos Anjos in the co-main event of UFC 225, he earned himself the UFC interim welterweight belt. The expectation was this accomplishment would set him up for a title unifying showdown with undisputed champion Tyron Woodley. But unfortunately for Covington, this isn’t the way things happened. Instead, the next welterweight title shot will go to England’s Darren Till, who will battle Woodley in the main event of UFC 228 on September 8. Once this fight is underway, the UFC will quietly strip Covington of his interim title — though he certainly has other ideas.
