McGregor was asked by a member of the media if he was preparing for Eddie Alvarez’s grinding wrestling style, which he had some trouble with against Chad Mendes at UFC 189 back in July of 2015.

Alvarez asked with a laugh, “Yeah, what about that Conor?”

McGregor replied, “What, that second round KO? That second KO? That butchering? I changed that boy. I changed that boy also. Know that. He went into that fight with Frankie beat. He is damaged goods. It’s over.”

“He’s a little guy,” Alvarez said to McGregor. “He’s a little guy and he was whooping your ass.”

“He’s faster than you,” McGregor answered back. “He’s got better boxing than you, cleaner wrestling than you. He’s a better fighter than you,” McGregor said of Mendes to Alvarez.

“What are you talking about? You’re bigger and more stuffed,” McGregor said additionally to Alvarez

“The Notorious” went on, “Have you seen him since? Have you seen him right since he fought me? Go have a look at Nate. Go speak to Nate. Go look at his face. Look at Jose. How’s Jose doing? Anyone that fights me, it’s over for them! It’s gonna be the exact same for you. Never, ever, gonna be the same. Ever again in your life. Your kids after this fight are gonna beg you, ‘Daddy! Daddy, please don’t go again!'”
