Boxing champion trashes Conor McGregor with a tweet and delete
On Monday, UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor released some exclusive footage of his training for his rematch with Nate Diaz scheduled for UFC 202.
In the video, McGregor showcased his sparring session with former boxing champion Chris Van Heerden and apparently edited the video to show himself getting the better of Van Heerden in training.
Van Heerden saw the video and tweeted on Monday, “When you have to cut and edit a video clip to putting pieces together to look good it shows me your real character. I sleep peaceful. Do you?” The former boxing champion added, “I’m not bitter at Conor. I’m mature enough to know he did not make the video himself! I did the work as a [favour]. I requested NO money helping him.”
Van Heerden deleted the tweets shortly after and followed up with a different tone on Tuesday tweeting, “After a Good Sleep you all made me think!! I Apologize for my Tweets should have kept it to myself Conor .M did me a Fav in the End #Sorry”
