BREAKING | Conor McGregor Has Been Added to MSG’s Best 366 Moments Exhibit
It’s the final presser for the UFC’s big return to Madison Square Garden, promoting the stacked card that boasts three incredible title fights. Despite all of the huge names and important divisional clashes, Conor McGregor received a special presentation before any of them sat down at the dais. A photo of him raising the two UFC titles over his head after he was victorious at UFC 205 will be entered into an exhibit at Madison Square Garden.

“At this time, the Madison Square Garden company would like to make a special presentation. During Madison Square Garden’s recent three-year transformation, one of the most significant enhancements was the addition of The Garden 366 exhibit, present by SAP. Garden 366 pays homage to the incredible history of Madison Square Garden and wraps around the entire sixth floor concourse capturing one thrilling moment for every day of the calendar year across sports, entertainment, politics and culture. Today we are proud to unveil our newest moment.” — Madison Square Garden.
Including Pope John Paul II’s visit, Kobe Bryant breaking the scoring record, and Marilyn Monroe singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to John F. Kennedy, the photo of Conor McGregor sits inside an incredibly rich history. Not only did McGregor make UFC history at UFC 205 by becoming simultaneous two-division champion, but it was the first card after many, many years of fights in the court to legalize MMA in New York.
The exhibit featuring 366 of The Garden’s best moments extend all the way back to the opening of the original Garden in Madison Square Park, which took place in 1879. Somewhere along that wall with over 138 years, sits November 12th 2016 when Conor McGregor called himself the champ champ.
