Coach surprises Conor McGregor with some presents from the past for his birthday
UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor is no stranger to world titles.
Prior to winning the UFC interim featherweight and UFC featherweight titles, McGregor was a two weight Cage Warrior world champion. “The Notorious” has claimed that he will do the same thing in the UFC and will be the first fighter in the history of the organization to simultaneously hold two titles.
McGregor’s plans to become a two weight UFC champ have been put on hold with his work cut out ahead of him in his non-title rematch with Nate Diaz. However, McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh reminded “The Notorious” of where they came from by giving him some presents from their past.
McGregor posted a photo of him and Kavanagh saying, “On the eve of my 28th birthday @coach_kavanagh surprised me with the return of my first two World title belts!
My 145lb and 155lb Cage Warrior titles!
We’ve been collecting these World titles a long time now!
A nice reminder of where we came from to where we are now!
Thank you coach for showing me the Martial Art life! #FightLife”
