Conor McGregor lashes out at Showtime’s Stephen Espinoza once again

It’s quite clear that UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor is not very fond of Showtime Sports Executive Stephen Espinoza.

During the Mayweather vs. McGregor world tour press conference, McGregor felt that he was being set up by Showtime at every chance they got. “The Notorious” called out Espinoza, calling him a “weasel” after his mic was turned off for a period of time during the first stop of the tour in Los Angeles.

Recently, Dana White came out and stated he will “never work with Showtime again,” after the network released that the Mayweather vs. McGregor fight was the second highest North American pay-per-view event of all time, falling behind the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight that took place in 2015.

On Friday, Espinoza responded to a tweet about White’s recent comments.

Espinoza tweeted, “Sounds like he’s upset because we committed the cardinal sin of telling the truth (when we released the accurate total for N. American PPV buys on MayMac).

“Strange that telling the truth, in a press release vetted by all parties in advance, is something to be ‘despised’ for.”

McGregor then jumped in and replied with a fiery tweet to Espinoza saying, “Shut your weasel mouth. Who gives a fuck about the North American numbers when we are the GLOBAL KINGS you shmuck. WORLDWIDE. No.1!”

What are your thoughts on the touchy subject of pay-per-view numbers? Let’s jump in the comments and discuss!
