Conor McGregor’s ‘road to UFC 200 starts today’
It appears that Conor McGregor has officially started his camp for the rematch with Nate Diaz slated for the main event of UFC 200 that takes place on July 9th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh posted this photo with the caption saying, “The road to #ufc200 starts today…3yrs to the day from debut.”
Today also marks the three year anniversary of McGregor’s UFC debut where he trounced Marcus Brimage via TKO in the first round.
While McGregor went on to win every fight in his UFC featherweight career, picking up an interim title and then unifying the title with a win over former champion Jose Aldo, McGregor would fall to defeat in a jump up to the welterweight division against short-notice replacement opponent Nate Diaz at UFC 196.
McGregor’s first lost in the UFC did not sit well with him and became “obsessed” with the fact that he lost to Diaz.
McGregor and Diaz will face off in an immediate rematch at UFC 200 once again welterweight limit.
Will things change this time around for Conor McGregor? Or will Nate Diaz be even more dominant in his preparation for McGregor with a full camp?
