Dana White calls the shots, talks Conor McGregor’s next fight after Nate Diaz

By Russell Ess - August 12, 2016

Featherweight champion Conor McGregor is scheduled to fight in his second UFC non-title welterweight fight on August 20 at UFC 202. McGregor will rematch Nate Diaz in another scrap at 170 to try and avenge his first UFC loss handed to him by Diaz at UFC 196.

The Notorious

UFC President Dana White revealed what will be next for “The Notorious” in an exclusive interview with UFC.com.

“I fully expect Conor to come back and defend his 145-pound title,” White said. “I think that Nate feels his brother should have the fight at 170, but Nick is not going to come back and fight for the title right away.”

The UFC report stated that although UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez stated that he wants the winner of Diaz vs. McGregor, “McGregor is going to be busy with interim featherweight champion Jose Aldo.”
