Dana White opens up on relationship with Conor McGregor
Conor McGregor certainly threw the UFC a bit of a curveball last month when he refused to fulfill his media obligations for his UFC 200 fight with Nate Diaz on July 9th.
McGregor tweeted that he was retired, which was followed up by an announcement from the UFC that McGregor had been pulled from the event after refusing to fulfill his obligations.
After a brief scramble, Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier II was revealed as the new main event for UFC 200, with McGregor left on the sidelines.
While many believed that this caused a massive rift between the UFC and Conor McGregor, that isn’t the case according to UFC President Dana White, who spoke on the Dan Patrick show.
White on Conor: our relationship is great. We are going to get by the speed bump and move on. They're having dinner next week.
