Dana White sends message to fan who ‘bought’ McGregor-Mayweather tickets
While the combat sports community is understandably thrilled and anxious for the highly anticipated Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather boxing match on August 26th at the T-Mobile arena, one fan may have jumped the gun in regards to buying their tickets for the historic event.
“A fan told me he bought tix already. I want ALL fans to know that we have not even come up with a price for tix yet and tix ARE NOT for sale yet. Don’t get fucked by These DIRTBALLS trying to sell tix already. When we announce tix on sale that’s when it’s real.”
While there has been no word of how much tickets will cost, like White stated, tickets are expected to be just as expensive as, if not more expensive than, tickets for the Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao scrap in 2015. For that fight, the cheapest tickets in the arena strted at $1,500 per ticket, climbing progressively higher until reaching $10,000 for floor tickets, of which there were only 1,100.
With the above-mention figures being explained however, it is worth to mention that the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, with the Mayweather-McGregor fight set to take place at the T-Mobile arena, which is reportedly able to hold 20,000 people, compared to the 17,000 people capacity of the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
With that being said of course, expect ticket prices to be extremely expensive.
