Joe Rogan’s brilliant matchmaking: Nick Diaz vs. Conor McGregor
Prior to Conor McGregor’s UFC 202 rematch with Nate Diaz, the featherweight champ stated that the pair would need a trilogy fight when he won the rematch.
McGregor did just that, winning via majority decision this past Saturday in Las Vegas. During his post-fight Octagon interview, McGregor stated that he wants the trilogy fight to go down at lightweight, rather than welterweight.
In addition, McGregor stated during the post-fight press conference that his next fight will likely be at lightweight, despite UFC President Dana White stating that if McGregor doesn’t defend his featherweight strap, he will be forced to vacate it.
In the wake of UFC 202, UFC commentator Joe Rogan has an interesting idea for McGregor’s next fight:
