The current featherweight title holder (McGregor) and perennial lightweight contender (Diaz) will once again meet at the welterweight limit of 170-pounds when they rematch in the headlining bout of July’s blockbuster UFC 200 event in Las Vegas.

Nate Diaz recently spoke with ESPN about the UFC 200 main event booking and why he feels McGregor wanted the rematch to take place at welterweight. His words:

“He knows that if he goes in and changes circumstances, then that’s weak,” Diaz stated. “It’s not cool to go in and make your own set of rules because you lost on another set. If you’re going to avenge your loss, you’ve gotta go out and avenge it for real. It’s like a guy saying, ‘Let’s fight again, but no takedowns.’ That’s weak, and he knows that.”

Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor will square off for a second time in the headlining bout of UFC 200 on July 9 in Las Vegas. Who do you have winning the rematch? Sound off PENN Nation!
