Conor McGregor hints that a fight with Floyd Mayweather is coming

UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor has been rumored to be in negotiations for a potential boxing match with all-time great Floyd Mayweather. Those rumors were initially shot down by UFC president Dana White. However, Floyd Mayweather Sr confirmed in a recent interview that Conor and his son have been in discussions about a potential end of the year boxing match.

Friday had a lot of MMA and boxing fans excited as a report from U.K. tabloid, The Sun claimed that Floyd Mayweather Jr. would be coming out of retirement for a boxing match with UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor. The report claimed that it would be another huge payday for Mayweather, but would give the UFC champ a much smaller cut in comparison, saying that Mayweather would bring in $144 million while McGregor would get $10.1 million for the bout.

McGregor was training in Iceland and helping Gunnar Nelson prepare for his upcoming fight against Albert Tumenov on May 8th when he was pulled from the card.
