Jake Paul says Conor McGregor boxing match "not as interesting" but he still wants to "beat him up"

Adam D Martin - August 17, 2021

YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul says that fighting Conor McGregor in boxing is “not as interesting” but he still wants to “beat him up.” Paul recently revealed his hit list and one of the names on it was McGregor, who Paul has been taking shots against on social media over the last few years. While McGregor is still one of the biggest draws in combat sports, he is coming off of back-to-back TKO losses to Dustin Poirier and had his leg broken in his last fight. Due to those issues, Paul admits that McGregor isn’t as interesting of an opponent as he once would have been. But as he admitted in an interview with MMAFighting.com, Paul still has aspirations of fighting him.

Adam D Martin - August 16, 2021

Conor McGregor shares his take on the most effective martial art: “The art of ambush”

Harry Kettle - August 16, 2021

Former two-weight UFC champion Conor McGregor has given his thoughts on what he believes to be the most effective martial art. “The Notorious” has had many great successes throughout the years in his mixed martial arts career, and while he may seemingly be on the downward turn after consecutive losses to Dustin Poirier as well as a broken leg, he still has the kind of spirit that will lead anyone to believe he can rise back to the top once again.

Conor McGregor says he will be “walking straight into a title shot” in UFC return

Adam D Martin - August 16, 2021

UFC superstar Conor McGregor says that he will be “walking straight into a title shot” in his return to the Octagon next year. Bisping suffered a broken leg and lost via first-round TKO (doctor stoppage) to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July. He has had surgery on his leg and is expected to return to active competition in 2022. During a recent Q&A session with fans on his Twitter, McGregor was asked by a fan if he would consider coming into boxing instead when he returns, presumably because he wouldn’t have to throw leg kicks like in MMA. McGregor, however, is convinced that his leg is going to be stronger than ever for kicking, and so a return to MMA is in the cards for him, and he also believes he will walk right into a title shot.

Conor McGregor fires back at Michael Bisping over Daniel Cormier comments: “I collect commission on all of his fights”

Adam D Martin - August 16, 2021

Conor McGregor fired back at Michael Bisping over his recent Daniel Cormier comments, saying that “I collect commission on all of his fights.” In the wake of his loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264, McGregor and Cormier have been going at it on social media. Taking to his own podcast to defend Cormier, Bisping then told McGregor that DC would “rip him limb from limb” if the two ever met in the Octagon. During a Q&A session with fans on Sunday evening, one fan asked McGregor what he thought about Bisping’s recent comments. The Irishman replied to the poster, though he later deleted the comment. Check out what “Notorious” said in response to Bisping below.

New UFC 264 footage shows Conor McGregor telling Dana White of his pre-fight injury: “I had been dealing with it the whole camp”

Adam D Martin - August 15, 2021

New UFC 264 footage shows Conor McGregor telling Dana White of his pre-fight injury, admitting “I had been dealing with it the whole camp.” McGregor suffered a broken leg against Dustin Poirier in the main event of UFC 264, which led to the Irishman losing the fight via first-round TKO (doctor stoppage). It was his second straight loss against “The Diamond,” but unlike the second fight where Poirier left no doubt about the stoppage with a brutal second-round finish, this time around there are some question marks about the way the fight ended due to McGregor having been injured before entering the cage. “Notorious” has admitted that he had fractures heading into the fight but he chose to stay on the card and ended up paying for it with the injury TKO loss.

Conor McGregor encourages Nate Diaz to continue his trolling of Dustin Poirier: “I am entertained”

Adam D Martin - August 13, 2021

UFC superstar Conor McGregor encouraged Nate Diaz to continue his trolling of rival Dustin Poirier, telling him that “I am entertained.” McGregor has, of course, fought both Diaz and Poirier multiple times each. The Irishman had a pair of memorable fights with Diaz in 2016, where he went 1-1 in the pair of bouts, while “Notorious” ended up losing 2-1 overall to Poirier during their own trilogy. In the last fight against Poirier at UFCC 264, McGregor broke his leg, and he’s expected to be out for the next year while he heals up his wounds. During his time off, McGregor has spent much of it on social media trolling several other fighters including Poirier, Diaz, and Daniel Cormier. But according to McGregor, he’s having more fun watching Diaz troll Poirier.

Jake Paul says Conor McGregor’s ego won’t allow him to accept that “it’s over”

Adam D Martin - August 13, 2021

YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul says that UFC superstar Conor McGregor’s ego won’t allow him to accept that “it’s over,” meaning his career. McGregor lost via first-round TKO when he broke his leg against Dustin Poirier back at UFC 264 in July. That was his second straight defeat following a TKO loss to Poirier earlier this year at UFC 257. When looking at McGregor’s MMA record, he is just 1-3 over his last four fights, plus he has a loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in boxing during that stretch, as well. Other than a quick TKO win over Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 last year, McGregor has not looked like his old self, and the man who was a double UFC champ is now long gone.

Dan Hardy believes Conor McGregor has "at least four or five more fights" left in him

Adam D Martin - August 10, 2021

Former UFC welterweight contender-turned-analyst Dan Hardy believes that Conor McGregor has “at least four or five more fights” left in him. McGregor suffered a broken leg in his TKO loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 last month. He is expected to be out of action for the better part of a year, and considering how much money he already has, there have been plenty of suggestions that this could be it for McGregor in combat sports. However, if you ask Hardy, McGregor will fight again.

Michael Chandler believes Dustin Poirier should prioritize a fourth fight with Conor McGregor over a title shot against Charles Oliveira

Harry Kettle - August 10, 2021

Michael Chandler has said if he was Dustin Poirier, he’d wait for a fourth fight against Conor McGregor as opposed to a UFC lightweight title fight against Charles Oliveira. Dustin Poirier is riding high right now after beating McGregor for the second time last month. The win firmly cements him as one of the best lightweights on the planet and, as such, takes “The Diamond” into the number one spot when it comes to pursuing a title shot.
