Nearly a year removed from McGregor and Nurmagomedov’s October, 2018 fight, which the latter won by submission, members of their respective entourages are still trading shots. Last week, former two-division UFC champ Conor McGregor partook in his first interview in quite awhile. In this interview, the Irish star named multiple potential opponents for his anticipated return to the cage. One of those opponents was former UFC lightweight champ Frankie Edgar, who recently announced his intention to move to bantamweight. “Who else is top of the list? Frankie Edgar is also up there on the list because he has similarities to Khabib,” McGregor said of Edgar. “He runs on the back foot and shoots on the single leg. I want these sort of similar bouts. The story goes that McGregor offered patrons a shot of his Proper No. Twelve whiskey. When one man refused the drink, McGregor struck him on the side of the head.

Apparently, McGregor offered the man some of his Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey. The man declined — and according to some accounts, called the whiskey “s**t” — and was rewarded with a fist to the noggin. The man in question has now commented on the incident.

Irish pub owners in Florida have given up on Conor McGregor as a video of one owner pouring bottles of Proper No. 12 whiskey down the toilet has emerged. Staff at Salty Shamrock pub in Apollo Beach, Florida posted a video of them pouring their supply of Proper No. 12 whiskey down the drain. Owner Sean Rice was at the forefront of the pouring, in retaliation to the video of McGregor allegedly punching an elderly man.

He says he’s not rushing to judgement as the video doesn’t reveal what the man said to McGregor before the punch was thrown.
