At the New York stop of the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor world tour, UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor started off his speech for the event by throwing shade at New York’s own 50 Cent.
McGregor took the mic, saying:
“What’s up New York City?” McGregor said. “50 Cent’s a (expletive). You and 50 are two fake money (expletives). He’s bankrupt, and you’re about to be.”
That didn’t sit too well with ‘Fif, who quickly took to social media to react to the lightweight champ’s statement:
Now, 50 Cent has taken to social media once again to throw shade at Conor McGregor, this time in a promo for his show, ‘Power’:
Nate Diaz then took a screenshot of 50’s promo, and posted it to Instagram with his own caption:
Nate Diaz’ repost of course comes on the heels of McGregor recently stating that he is eyeing both a trilogy fight with Nate Diaz, as well as a lightweight title defense against Khabib Nurmagomedov for his first bout back in the Octagon. McGregor spoke following the final stop of he & Floyd Mayweather’s world tour to reveal that while he isn’t very intrigued by any fights at lightweight, a potential title defense against Khabib Nurmagomedov in Russia, as well as a trilogy fight with Nate Diaz were both on his mind.
