PHOTO | Conor McGregor posts selfie following report of him being knocked out during recent training
Big news was buzzing on Monday when a report surfaced that UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor was allegedly knocked out cold during training with a possible broken nose. As timing had it, McGregor was also given his sanctions from the Nevada State Athletic Commission on Monday where he was handed a hefty $150,000 fine as well as community service for the water bottle war against Nate Diaz and his team at the UFC 202 pre-fight press conference.
Fortunately for Conor McGregor fans, the report of “The Notorious” having a broken does not seem to be the case from the looks of a couple recent photos posted by the UFC featherweight champion.
McGregor took to social media on Monday and Tuesday, posting photos of himself. No broken nose from the photos posted, but there is no telling as to when the actual photos were taken but were posted to social media on Monday and Tuesday. There is also no way to actually verify that “The Notorious” was or was not knocked out in training from the photos posted. However, McGregor’s head coach John Kavanagh responded on social media on Monday following the KO report, alluding that it was all quite humorous to him.
McGregor said in the captions of his post from Monday, “Hard work with my TKD coach Johnny Dargan!”
In another post on Tuesday, McGregor posted a selfie and said, “I’m so fresh and so driven.”
The good news is that the UFC 205 main event lightweight title fight between Eddie Alvarez and Conor McGregor is still on.
Will Conor McGregor set another record and become the first fighter in UFC history to simultaneously hold two UFC division’s championship titles? Joe Rogan gave a bit of insight recently saying that he feels a lot of people are sleeping on the UFC lightweight champ, Eddie Alvarez.
