Quite sure this could have an effect on his training camp. Alvarez has great striking technique. Could make his #UFC205 bout a disaster.

According to the report, the knockout could effect his training camp for his scheduled bout with Alvarez at UFC 205 next month.
No word yet on who threw the strike that KO’d the featherweight champ.
McGregor trains at SBG in his native Ireland with the likes of fellow European UFC standout Gunnar Nelson, however there is no confirmation as of Monday if Nelson was the source of the knockout blow to ‘Mystic Mac’.
McGregor has never been knocked out or finished with strikes in his MMA career, meaning the alleged knockout he sustained in training would be his first.
The featherweight kingpin won the belt after knocking out Jose Aldo in just 13 seconds back at UFC 194. Since then, McGregor has been moonlighting at 170 pounds following two fights at welterweight against Nate Diaz. Now in the final stages of preparation for his lightweight title fight against Eddie Alvarez, news of a knockout sustained while training and sparring could be a significant setback for the Irishman, as UFC 205 is now just a little over a month away.
How do you think a knockout will effect McGregor going into his fight with Eddie Alvarez? With the fight just a month away, could this news impact McGregor’s chances at becoming the first man to hold two belts simultaneously in the UFC? Sound off, PENN Nation!
