Report: Despite Conor’s tweet, nothing has changed
UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor shook up the MMA world once again last night when he took to Twitter to announce that he was back on July’s UFC 200 event in Las Vegas.
Happy to announce that I am BACK on UFC 200!
Shout out to @danawhite and @lorenzofertitta on getting this one done for the fans. #Respect— Conor McGregor (@TheNotoriousMMA) April 25, 2016
“Mystic Mac” had been pulled from his scheduled UFC 200 main event rematch with Nate Diaz after he refused to attend media obligations to promote this summer’s big event.
UFC officials have yet to confirm Conor’s tweet that he is once again fighting at UFC 200.
However, MMAFighting’s Ariel Helwani recently took to Twitter and stated that from what he has heard, nothing has changed in regards to McGregor fighting at UFC 200. His words:
Status quo, I'm told. Nothing has changed. Was/is some dialogue and hope but alas … https://t.co/BBM25eT0FL
