Rory MacDonald defends Conor McGregor: “He did the right thing”
Former UFC title challenger Rory MacDonald is preparing to fight the last bout of his current UFC contract when he headlines June’s UFC Fight Night 89 event in Ottawa opposite fellow top contender Stephen Thompson.
According to reports, MacDonald and the UFC have not come close to reaching a new deal or contract extension.
Rory recently stated in an interview that he plans to sign with the promotion who is willing to pay him the most money.
The star Canadian welterweight took to Twitter Saturday and defended the actions of UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor, who was recently pulled from his scheduled UFC 200 headliner with Nate Diaz for refusing to do a media tour to promote this summer’s big event.
Here is what Rory MacDonald had to say:
my opinion @TheNotoriousMMA did the right thing, us fighters could learn a thing or 2 bout knowing r worth. also we should support eachother
