UFC 196 salary report: Conor McGregor makes history once again with $1 million disclosed pay

UFC 196 took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday and presented an exciting night of fights.

UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor made history once again on Saturday night by becoming the first UFC fighter to earn $1,00,000 in disclosed pay for a single fight.

Nate Diaz upset McGregor in their non-title welterweight fight by submission in the second round.

Holly Holm was unable to defend her championship belt losing to the newly crowned champion Miesha Tate. Tate was able to secure a submission in the fifth round and choked Holm unconscious.

These figures do not include deductions for items such as licenses, insurance, and taxes. In addition, the figures do not include sponsor pay, such as the official UFC-Reebok sponsorship program. They also do not include any other “locker room” or special discretionary bonuses the UFC oftentimes pays to their fighters.

Performance of the night bonus – Nate Diaz also earned $50,000 for his second-round submission victory over Conor McGregor.

Performance of the night bonus – Miesha Tate also earned an extra $50,000 for her fifth-round submission victory over Holly Holm.

Fight of the night bonus – Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor each received an extra $50,000 for their exciting main event.
