UFC 205, which stands out as the biggest card in UFC history, is now less than two weeks away. As this massive event grows ever more massive on the horizon, fight fans are doing their part to add to the hype by designing their own promotional posters and hype videos. One of the latest of these videos comes from YouTube user 7iNM – and it will get you pumped!
The video focuses exclusively on UFC 205’s main event, which will see UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor challenge UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez for the UFC lightweight crown. If McGregor is successful in this endeavor, he’ll become the first fighter in UFC history to hold titles in two divisions in tandem. If Alvarez comes out on top, he’ll have derailed the hype train of arguably the most famous fighter in UFC history – a star he believes is the product of favorable matchmaking and clever marketing. This video focuses on these two narratives, while providing plenty of awesome footage of McGregor’s and Alvarez’s most recent UFC bouts.
Of course, there are far more reasons to be excited for UFC 205 than its main event.
The card’s co-main event will be a welterweight title fight between reigning champ Tyron Woodley, and streaking contender Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson. It will also feature a third title fight, as strawweight queen Joanna Jedrzejczyk looks to to make a fourth defense of her title against fellow undefeated polish fighter Karolina Kowalkiewicz. The rest of its main card, finally, will see Chris Weidman take on Yoel Romero, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone mix it up with Kelvin Gastelum, and former bantamweight champion Miesha Tate attempt to get back on track against Raquel Pennington. The undercard is also stacked with top talent, featuring names like Frankie Edgar, Jeremy Stephens, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Michael Johnson, Tim Kennedy and Rashad Evans.
UFC 205 goes down on November 12 inside New York City’s hallowed Madison Square Garden. Will you be watching? Sound off, PENN Nation!
