A scrap between two of the UFC’s top ten light heavyweights will take place at UFC Fight Night London on March 18.

Flocombat’s Jim Edwards was first to report the news announcing that feared 205-pound striker Jimi Manuwa would be taking on Corey Anderson at the event.

Jimi Manuwa was last seen in action at October’s UFC 204 event in Manchester where he scored a highlight reel knockout victory over Ovince Saint Preux. Prior to scoring the devastating knockout over “OSP”, the “Poster Boy” was coming off a knockout loss to top light heavyweight contender Anthony “Rumble” Johnson at UFC 191 in September of 2015.

Meanwhile, Corey Anderson has won four of his past five contests, his latest being a TKO victory over Sean O’Connell at December’s at UFC Fight Night event in Albany. Prior to that, Anderson was coming off a close split-decision loss to former UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua at UFC 198 this past May in Brazil.

The winner of this key light heavyweight tilt will likely be in a position for a number one contenders bout in the future.

Current UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier is expected to defend his title in a rematch against Anthony Johnson later this Spring.
