Couture Returns To MMA Action Jan 18

It has to be hard being the son of Randy Couture (UFC Hall of Famer, former two-division UFC Champion and movie star), but Ryan Couture started to make a name of his own when he compiled a 6-1 record in Strikeforce before the promotion was purchased by Zuffa.

Couture looked to ride that momentum when he entered into the UFC, but after losing his first two fights he was cut.

Now, on January 18, he looks to make his return to the cage. This time instead of the UFC Couture will be fighting in BattleGrounds MMA, a smaller promotion run by Blackzilians’ coach Kenny Monday.

Couture will be fighting Kyle Sjafiroeddin in the main event at ‘BattleGrounds MMA 3‘, which is scheduled to take place at the Riverwind Hotel and Casino in Norman, Oklahoma.

The fights will not be televised, but if you live in that area and decide to go you just might see a certain famous father (Randy).
