Curtis Millender Wants to Beat up Mickey Gall for What He did to CM Punk
Few performances if any this past Sunday were quite as impressive as the debuting Curtis Millender’s when he took on the tough UFC veteran and former 170-pound title challenger, Thiago Alves. Millender came into the bout with two straight clean knockout victories and he would add another against Alves thus extending his overall win streak to seven.
Millender earned a performance of the night bonus in his debut and also became the first man to knock out the thirty-four fight veteran, Alves. In his post-fight scrum with the media, “Courteous” Curtis commented on the fight and who he wants next and why:
“I knew this was coming, I worked really hard. I have a canteen of water that I drink every day, and every fight I write my goals on it. And it says that I’m going to knock him out in the second round. I’m going to tweet it when I get home and see that the marker is fading. I work hard, and when I say I’m going to do it, I’m going to do it. Easy breezy, I want to fight everybody, I want to be the best in the world, and to do that, I’ve got to be up there. I’ve got my welterweight hit list. Thiago’s first; anybody can get it next.
I would like to beat up Mickey Gall. I’m a huge WWE fan, big CM Punk fan, so I’d love to beat up Mickey Gall for that.”
It’s not often you will hear an MMA fighter wanting to defend CM Punk’s honor but I guess that’s why they call him Courteous! Gall last fought at UFC 217 in November when he suffered his first career defeat to another hot prospect in Randy Brown. After such an impressive performance from Millender, it will be interesting to see who he is matched with next.
