On the main card of UFC 199 leading up to the middleweight title bout between Luke Rockhold and Michael Bisping, “Hendo” delivered another signature knockout over the tough contender Hector Lombard.

Then, when Bisping shocked the world and knocked Rockhold out in the first round of their bout, there was an automatic attraction built up for Bisping vs. Henderson 2 with “Hendo’s” devastating knockout over Bisping still one of the most talked about KO victories till today.

Now that Henderson is on the tail end of his career and ready for retirement, he is getting one more shot at UFC gold and says this will be his last chance.

“I think it will definitely happen and I’m excited to get in there and hopefully do the same thing I did to him the last time,” Henderson said to the “Talking Brawls” podcast (transcribed by Severe MMA).

“I’m pretty sure it will be a pay-per-view and I’d expect that it happens relatively soon, possibly in the next couple of days. We should be able to get it figured out. I’m waiting to hear the exact date, and where but I’m almost positive it will happen, there’s no reason why it shouldn’t at this point.”

UFC President Dana White announced after UFC 200 that they were looking to put Bisping vs. Henderson on in Manchester soon and “Hendo” has no problem fighting in the champion’s backyard.

“That is my plan, win or lose I’m ready mentally to retire.”
