It seems that UFC lightweights Dan Hooker and Charles Oliveira could be set for a battle down under. ‘The Hangman’ has been out of the octagon since a split-decision victory over Jalin Turner last summer. That win at UFC 290 was a massive one for Dan Hooker. The victory was his second in a row, and helped him get back on the right track after back-to-back losses to Islam Makhachev and Arnold Allen.

UFC lightweight contender Beneil Dariush has responded to Dan Hooker’s mass callout for a fight at UFC 305 in Perth. Dariush hasn’t fought since a knockout loss to Arman Tsarukyan at UFC Austin back in December. He lost back-to-back fights in 2023, including a TKO loss to Charles Oliveira at UFC 289 that halted his lightweight title shot bid.

According to New Zealand Herald’s Christopher Reive, Hooker has suffered an arm injury which has forced him to pull out of his UFC Austin co-main event fight against Bobby Green.
