Dana White blasts Jason Aldean for turning down offer to perform at UFC 216

UFC President Dana White did his best to honor the victims of the Las Vegas shooting at last night’s UFC 216 event at T-Mobile Arena.

The promotion had 1,500 first responders in attendance for last night’s event and also gave some of the survivors from the shooting an introduction in the octagon.

In addition to those efforts, Dana White had also extended an invitation to Jason Aldean to perform the national anthem at Saturday’s pay-per-view event.

Aldean was the artist performing on stage at the 91 Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas when the worst mass shooting in American history occurred. The shooting left 59 people dead and over 500 injured.

Sadly, Aldean’s camp declined the UFC’s offer, stating that the country singer was apprehensive about returning to Vegas and that Jason may never perform again.

With that said, the UFC was still able to procure the services of Everlast who went on to sing “America The Beautiful” at last night’s UFC 216 event.

Following the conclusion of UFC 216, Dana White caught wind that Jason Aldean had just performed on Saturday Night Live (SNL).

That news did not sit well with the brash UFC boss who went off on Jason Aldean in an interview with TMZ.

“His image was more important then coming back to Vegas and playing for the people who are his fans and who got shot watching him play. F**k you Jason Aldean! Stay out of Vegas!”

White continued:

“Country music was attacked! Those were country music fans. Those are people who buy your albums and none of you country music people could sing the anthem in front of survivors and 1st responders?”

Jason Aldean has yet to responds to the recent comments made by the UFC President.
