Saturday night on the main card of ‘UFC Fight Night: Denver’, streaking heavyweight contender Francis ‘The Predator’ Ngannou will face former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski in a highly anticipated showdown.

There’s no secret that the fight is undoubtably the biggest of Ngannou’s career, taking a step up from fighting unranked heavyweights, to fighting #7 ranked Arlovski, however UFC President Dana White believes that Ngannou could very well be on his way to being the first longstanding UFC heavyweight champion.

He spoke on the ‘UFC Fight Night: Denver’ Fox Sports 1 weigh-in show.

“Arlovski is a legend in this sport, a legend in the heavyweight division – Francis Ngannou will be,” White said on Friday’s UFC on FOX 23 weigh-ins show on FS1. “I believe that this guy has the potential to become the heavyweight champion of the world. I also believe he has the potential to hold that title for a very long time.”

“I don’t know if in the history of the UFC we’ve ever had a heavyweight champion like Ngannou,” White said. “If you put this guy Ngannou next to; put him side to side with NFL players, put him side by side with the heavyweight boxing champions throughout history. This is a massive, massive guy.”

Standing at 6’4 and weighing in at 250 pounds, Francis Ngannou not only delivers devastating knockouts, four of his nine professional wins have come by way of submission. In addition, The Predator has tasted defeat just once in his professional career, four years ago, and has won every fight via stoppage, never having gone the distance.

Arlovski of course will be looking to snap the 8-fight win streak of Ngannou as he also snaps his own 3-fight skid that saw the former champ go winless over the course of 2016.
