Earlier today Team FA reported that a trilogy fight between Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor was set for December’s UFC 219 pay-per-view event in Las Vegas.

However, that report was quickly dismissed by UFC President Dana White who stated that it was “Not true AT ALL!”

Conor McGregor was most recently seen in action last month when he made his professional boxing debut opposite undefeated legend Floyd Mayweather.

Conor put together an excellent opening few rounds before “Money” was eventually able to turn the tide in round five.

Mayweather would eventually finish the Notorious Irish superstar in round ten after landing a barrage of heavy punches.

Prior to taking his talents to the squared circle, McGregor was coming off an amazing performance at UFC 205 which saw him claim the UFC lightweight championship by knocking out Eddie Alvarez.

As for Nate Diaz, “The Stockton Slugger” has not competed since suffering a controversial majority decision loss to Conor McGregor at UFC 202 in August of 2016.

Diaz and McGregor first met at UFC 196 with Nate emerging victorious via submission (rear-naked choke).

According to Nate Diaz’s boxing coach Richard Perez, the Stockton native will require a $20 million payday from the UFC to fight McGregor for a third time.

Although the UFC President has dismissed the aforementioned report, Conor McGregor has made it clear that he has unfinished business with Nate Diaz.

The trilogy bout may not happen at UFC 219, but that doesn’t mean fans won’t get to see the fight sometime in the new year.
