Dana White sounds off on ‘Literally the biggest piece of s**t in all of sports’
Dana White is working his way to officially stepping into the business of boxing. The UFC President recently explained that he is looking to add boxing promotions in addition to doing the UFC mixed martial arts promotions. White is currently in the process of getting his boxing promoter’s license.
Speaking recently with Jim Rome, White responded to boxing promoter Bob Arum and his comments about the UFC getting into boxing because the business of MMA is failing.
“F–k him. F–k that guy. “This is the same guy who said this same s–t 15 years ago about me and the Fertittas,” White said (transcribed by Damon Martin for MMA Weekly). “He said they’re losing oodles and oodles of money and this business was a joke, it was going to go under, nobody will ever be into a sport like this and here we are today.
“This guy is such a jerk off. Literally the biggest piece of s–t in all of sports, Bob Arum, ladies and gentlemen.”
White added that he believes they just do things better than what the boxing promoters are doing. From the access fighters have with the UFC Performance Institute, to their production, to providing health insurance for fighters, White says boxers would benefit more being signed under them than other boxing promoters such as Arum.
“I just know how good we are at what we do,” White said. “I know we’re better than pretty much everybody else out there. I think that the guys who are involved with boxing, the fighters, would enjoy being under this umbrella and fighting for us. Yeah, I do think we could do it better than everybody else does.
“So what the hell, why not give it a shot?”
