It’s the fifth straight win for Teixeira, who figures to take Santos’ spot at the top contender in the division. But it still might not be enough to earn him the next title shot against UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz instead of middleweight champ Israel Adesanya.

UFC president Dana White says the UFC is working to “loosen up” archaic marijuana rules, but warned “you can’t have guys showing up high.” On Wednesday, several UFC fighters including welterweight Niko Price and lightweight Kevin Croom were suspended by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. They tested positive for marijuana in their system during recent bouts in Las Vegas. Price tested positive following a draw against Donald Cerrone, while Croom tested positive in a pre-fight test. His submission win over Roosevelt Roberts was overturned to a No Contest.

Hall picked up the biggest win of his career in the main event of UFC Vegas 12 as he was able to stop Silva in the fourth round with punches after a back-and-forth first three rounds. Despite being 45, Silva looked sharp and fast in the fight as he was able to hang in there for the first three rounds before Hall finally landed the finishing blows in the fourth. The win over Hall gives Silva a three-fight win streak and presumably a top-10 ranking.

Nickerson recently spoke in a lengthy interview with MMAjunkie.com about her allegedly violent relationship with Perry, who she said struck her on numerous occasions. The UFC welterweight star got ahead of things by releasing a statement denying any of the allegations. But apparently, Nickerson has photos of the bruises that she says Perry gave her, which has led to some fans believing Perry should be pulled from his upcoming fight against Robbie Lawler at UFC 255 while this all plays out in the courts.
