Conor McGregor’s retirement may be soon be coming to an end. After UFC 250, the Irishman announced his retirement from MMA once again. For many, they didn’t think the retirement would last. But, UFC president, Dana White had been adamant that McGregor is retired and he would not be talking to him about fights.

Dana White says that UFC 254 featuring Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Justin Gaethje will “probably” take place on Fight Island. The UFC spent all of July holding events on Yas Island, promoting four cards on Fight Island in Abu Dhabi between July 11 and July 25. White praised officials in Abu Dhabi for doing an amazing job holding those events and he has promised that the promotion would be returning soon. The UFC is back at its home base in Las Vegas for five events in August, but events scheduled for September and August do not have locations announced just yet.

UFC president Dana White says that he will fire anyone on his staff who approaches a judge or a referee in their dispute of the outcome of a fight. UFC color commentator Dan Hardy came under fire last week when he got into a verbal confrontation with referee Herb Dean following a controversial late stoppage in a catchweight bout between Francisco Trinaldo and Jai Herbert. Hardy yelled for Dean to stop the fight after Herbert took some extra shots, and was then caught on video getting into it with Dean. Both men have since released statements on the matter.

UFC president Dana White reacted after superstar Conor McGregor seemingly agreed to a fight against up-and-coming prospect Khamzat Chimaev. Chimaev has quickly become one of the brightest young stars in the UFC. After making his promotional debut earlier this month at UFC Fight Island 1 with a vicious submission win over John Phillips, Chimaev made UFC history when he finished Rhys McKee via TKO just 10 days later at UFC Fight Island 3. There is an incredible amount of hype behind Chimaev right now, with some looking at him as a potential future welterweight champ.

UFC president Dana White is not ruling out the possibility of a trilogy fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway. While “The Great” is now officially 2-0 against “Blessed” after their first two bouts against one another, many fans and media members believe that Holloway should’ve had his hand raised after their rematch on Fight Island.

Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje will fight for the UFC lightweight title on October 24, according to UFC President Dana White. White confirmed the date for this fight during an interview with CNN.

UFC president Dana White believes that the winner of the upcoming trilogy fight between Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier will be known as the greatest heavyweight of all time. This story between the two juggernauts of the division began two years ago when “DC” knocked Miocic out and captured the UFC Heavyweight Championship. Then, in 2019, Miocic returned the favor and reclaimed the belt – setting up a third and almost certainly final fight between them at UFC 252.

UFC president Dana White suggested a matchup between middleweight contenders Robert Whittaker and Jared Cannonier to determine the next title challenger. Whittaker is coming off of a unanimous decision win over Darren Till at UFC Fight Island 3, while Cannonier is coming off of three straight TKO wins over Jack Hermansson, Anderson Silva, and David Branch. The UFC middleweight title will be on the line in September when champion Israel Adesanya takes on Paulo Costa in the main event of UFC 253, and White and the UFC matchmakers are already thinking about who will get the next title shot.

Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Georges St-Pierre could be a possibility according to UFC President Dana White. For quite some time now, both Nurmagomedov and St-Pierre have shown their interest in a possible match. Yet, the UFC shut the idea down and now it is expected if Khabib Nurmagomedov fights again it will be against Justin Gaethje.

UFC President Dana White is not happy about the recent reports that Israel Adesanya will defend the UFC middleweight title against Paulo Costa at UFC 253. News of this UFC 253 middleweight title fight was first reported by Brazilian publication Combate, and subsequently confirmed by MMA Fighting.

Dana White is expecting to be on Fight Island for a while and is already looking at three title fights to take place there. Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the world, White has been adamant he will keep on holding events. He even said he’d be hosting them on an island. Well, on July 11 at UFC 251 he did just that as Fight Island was born in Abu Dhabi, which the UFC boss says is the new fight capital of the world.

UFC President Dana White isn’t ready to guarantee Aljamain Sterling the next crack at the UFC bantamweight title. The UFC bantamweight throne was left vacant after the former champion Henry Cejudo retired in May. A new champion was crowned at UFC 251 earlier this month, when Petr Yan defeated Jose Aldo by fifth-round TKO in a fight for the vacant title.

Khabib Nurmagomedov is taking some time away from fighting according to UFC President Dana White. It has been an unfortunate year for the undisputed lightweight champion. He was scheduled to fight Tony Ferguson in an eagerly-anticipated matchup at UFC 249 in May earlier this year. However, due to the coronavirus outbreak and subsequent travel restrictions, he was forced to withdraw from the upcoming title defence.

UFC president Dana White was a big fan of the striking duel between lightweight standouts Rafael Fiziev and Marc Diakiese at UFC Fight Island 2. In what was later deemed the “Fight of the Night” at UFC Fight Island 2, Fiziev and Diakiese went three hard rounds of pure striking, throwing everything in their arsenal at one another over the 15 minutes allotted. Fiziev ended up winning a unanimous decision in the fight, but Diakiese proved his worth with a durable showing against an elite striker.

UFC President Dana White has responded to Dan Hooker calling for a showdown with former interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson. Hooker last fought in late June, when he lost a decision to Dustin Poirier in a 2020 Fight of the Year contender. Since that setback, he’s expressed interest in fights with Charles Oliveira and Tony Ferguson.

UFC President Dana White has confirmed that No. 1 welterweight contender Gilbert Burns will get the next crack at the division’s champ Kamaru Usman. Usman and Burns were expected to fight in the main event of UFC 251 last weekend, but the fight was nixed when Burns tested positive for COVID-19. Burns was then replaced by Jorge Masvidal, who Usman defeated by unanimous decision.

UFC President Dana White has responded to talk of a potential super fight between UFC stars Jorge Masvidal and Conor McGregor. Masvidal fought at UFC 251 last weekend, taking on UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman on just six days’ notice. While Masvidal put up forth valiant effort, he wound up losing the fight by unanimous decision.
