Dana White announces UFC 234 will air on DirecTV after reaching agreement

James Lynch - February 8, 2019

That’s according to MMANews’ Damon Martin who notes that while the UFC has come to terms with DirecTV, they still need to sign a long term deal. DirecTV is the leader in pay-per-view distribution in the United States and is typically what would air in bars and restaurants. Prior to this agreement, the UFC was telling fans to purchase the pay-per View through UFC.tv, Amazon or in the Playstation or the XBOX store.

Let’s do this. Let’s do this under Canelo [Alvarez], Cinco de Mayo. I’ll even give you five months so you can get off the juice, and then we can get in great shape and then we go three rounds. Look, I’m going to give you what, a 50 pound advantage? It’s ok. I can take you on. Let’s do it.”

Whatever the case, Conor McGregor definitely seems to be a fan of the UFC’s new belt design.Speaking on Twitter on Friday morning, the Irish MMA star reacted to the new belt.
