Daniel Cormier is not happy with the official UFC 210 poster
In a few short weeks, UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier will attempt to defend his title against absurdly powerful knockout artist Anthony “Rumble” Johnson. The pair’s light heavyweight title showdown, which was originally expected to headline UFC 206 back in December, will instead serve as the main event of UFC 210 on April 8 in Buffalo, New York.
Cormier and Rumble, of course, have plenty of history together. The two talented light heavyweights first met back in May of 2015, when the fought for the vacant throne after former champ Jon Jones was stripped of the title. On that night, Cormier weathered a hellacious, first-round onslaught from Rumble to win the fight with a rear-naked choke in the third round.
Given the fairly decisive end to this first Cormier-Rumble fight, you can understand Cormier’s frustration with the recently-released official UFC 210 poster, which shows him superimposed in front of a mountainous Rumble in the background. Considering Cormier is the defending champ, his frustration with being shrunken-down on this poster is even more understandable.
The champ vented his disappointment with the official UFC 210 poster on his official Instagram page. In his post, he reminded the world what happened the last time a challenger was made the focus of an official UFC poster.

“What is this?” A frustrated Cormier asked in his Instagram post. “How many favors did Rumble have to call in to make this sh*t happen? Just remember last time the challenger looked so big on the poster, [champion Rafael Dos Anjos] beat [challenger Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone] in one round.”
What do you think about the official poster for UFC 210 in Buffalo, New York? Do you understand Daniel Cormier’s issues with it, or is the champ overreacting? Make your voice heard in the comments section, PENN Nation!
