Daniel Cormier replies to Jon Jones’ latest Twitter barb: “That’s actually a good one”
Over the last few days, UFC light heavyweight and heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones have been involved in a heated quarrel on social media.
One of the latest verbal volleys came from Jon Jones, who claimed that his 2017 knockout of Cormier was the result of strategy and timing, not the result of steroid use.
I set you up with several attacks to your body, you begin to protect your belly so I kicked you in your head. but you’re right somehow a steroid metabolite right before the fight made me smarter. You’re the champ champ, I’ll stop dreaming now

“I set you up with several attacks to your body, you begin to protect your belly so I kicked you in your head,” Jones said in a Tuesday Tweet. “But you’re right somehow a steroid metabolite right before the fight made me smarter. You’re the champ champ, I’ll stop dreaming now.”

“Must be the roids,” Jones said in a second Tweet, which included a video of a head-kick knockout in a street fight.
Apparently, Cormier actually appreciated this comment from Jones. In his response, he admitted that it was “a good one,” but reminded that Jones did, in fact, fail a drug test shortly after their most recent fight.
Ok, that’s actually a good one with yo bitch ass! But you actually were on steroids the little white chick might not be , but you were n***a lmao https://t.co/aYdmcpf28o

Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones recent Twitter beef all stems from a recent interview Jones partook in, in which he said he hoped to fight Cormier twice more before all is said and done.
“My vision is fighting him at light heavyweight first,” Jones said of Daniel Cormier in a recent interview with RT Sport. “I think that beating him a third time would really do something to his confidence. In his head, I feel like he thinks he can still beat me, especially because the fight was going fairly well until I knocked him out. I want to crush his confidence…
“Leading into our fourth fight, a possible fourth fight for the heavyweight championship of the world, his confidence won’t be in the right spot,” Jones added. “It won’t, and I think it will help me take that fourth victory over him and that heavyweight championship from him. I think I have his number.”
