Daniel Cormier

Friday morning at the UFC 210 early weigh-ins, UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier came in overweight, weighing in at 206.2 pounds for his highly anticipated title fight with Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson. Cormier then stepped back for just over two minutes before reemerging and weighing-in at 205 pounds. With that being said, there was quite a bit of controversy regarding Cormier’s use of the privacy towel, which he leaned on in order to offset his weight and help him make weight.

With that being said, Cormier denied using the privacy towel to offset his weight, claiming he was leaning on the towel so as to avoid having fans accidentally see his manhood while he was on the scale.

With that being said, it has not stopped fans from speculating as to Cormier’s weight-cut, and whether or not the light heavyweight champ endured a brutal weight cut leading up to the fight.

During a new episode of UFC 210 Embedded, Cormier and Johnson were caught on camera discussing the weigh-in, where Cormier revealed that it was his final fight at light heavyweight. Johnson then joked around with Cormier about his comments.

We have transcribed the exchange below, and you can see the video footage above!

Cormier: You just weigh in now too?
Johnson: 203
Cormier: Fuck!
Johnson: What you get?
Cormier: I barely made that motherfucker!
Johnson: This was the hardest one.
Cormier: This is my last fight at 205…
Johnson: Man shut the fuck up *laughing*
Cormier: I’m done. Fuck!
Johnson: Got worried for a second!

Cormier then goes on to state:

“The scale was fucked up I think. Well, made it. I was like ‘that’s not right’ because my scale upstairs said [I was] 205. So…got it.”
