Daniel Cormier is days away from defending his UFC heavyweight championship against Stipe Miocic in the main event of UFC 241. While ‘DC’ is taking things one fight at a time, the rematch against Miocic could very well be the final fight of his storied mixed martial arts career. Cormier has built an incredible legacy throughout his career and will look to knock off the man with the longest heavyweight championship reign in UFC history for a second time on Saturday night in Anaheim, Calif. If Cormier is successful, he certainly isn’t slamming the door on his career. If the right opportunity comes along, Cormier will be open to keeping his in-the-Octagon career going — although it won’t be for just any fight.

Stipe Miocic believes his layoff will help him beat Daniel Cormier. Miocic is scheduled to rematch the heavyweight champion, Daniel Cormier at UFC 241. The event in August arrives a year after Stipe fought “DC” for the heavyweight title at UFC 226. Stipe lost to a KO during the first round but successfully defended the belt three times prior.

The real question is whether or not it will come to fruition. Cormier already has enough on his plate as he is preparing to defend his UFC heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic at UFC 241 next weekend in Anaheim. If “DC” can improve to 2-0 against Miocic — the longest reigning UFC heavyweight champion of all-time — a trilogy fight with Jones could be absolutely massive.

Back in July 2018, Cormier challenged Miocic for the UFC heavyweight title. At the time, Cormier was the light heavyweight champion.
