Colby Covington reacts to “fat f**k” Darren Till’s weigh-in miss, accuses him of cheating
If you haven’t heard, Darren Till missed weight for his UFC Liverpool-headlining showdown with Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson by 3.5 pounds. The fight will go ahead as planned, with the stipulation that Till does not weigh any more than 188 pounds by 1:00pm BST tomorrow. Till will also surrender 30% of his purse to his foe.
While reports suggest that Till’s botched weight cut is due, at least in part, to a family emergency, he’s receiving quite a bit of flack all the same. As you probably guessed, some of this flack came from the ever-outspoken Colby Covington, who will fight Rafael dos Anjos for the UFC interim welterweight title at UFC 225 this June 9.

“I guess if you ain’t cheating you ain’t trying right Darrell?” Colby Covington said in a Tweet directed at Darren Till. “You fat fuck. Back of the line junior.”
Needless to say, Covington does not seem to impressed by Till’s failure to make weight.
Till will enter his UFC Liverpool showdown with Thompson with an overall record of 16-0-1. Since joining the UFC, he’s defeated Wendell de Oliveira, battled Nicolas Dalby to a draw, and defeated Jessin Ayari, Bojan Veličković, and most recently, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone.
Covington, meanwhile, will step into the cage at UFC 225 with a 13-1 overall record. He last fought in October, when he defeated Demian Maia by decision. This win was preceded by a similarly dominant win over long-time welterweight contender Dong Hyun Kim.
What do you think of Colby Covington’s take on Darren Till’s weigh-in blunder?
