Is UFC Liverpool’s Headliner Darren Till the Un-Fightable Man?

The UFC’s big announcement yesterday was that Darren Till would finally be fighting again. Not only would they make up for the downtime between his devastating finish of Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone at UFC Gdansk, but they’d put him as the main event for the UFC’s first trip to his hometown. Against who though? Well, that’s the problem. Till called out Stephen ‘Wonderboy” Thompson once again, but his hand may or may not be healed by then. Till then moved on to Jorge Masvidal today, but Masvidal can’t make it as early as May 27th.

“I want to fight everyone in the division to prove I’m the best and I consider Wonderboy one of the best strikers in the UFC. I want to see if my striking can out-strike his striking. He comes from Karate, I come from Muay Thai. I know I can outsmart him, I know I can knock him out. I know that. I don’t know [who I’m going to fight], mate. Anyone in the top ten if Wonderboy doesn’t accept.”Darren Till speaking at the UFC London weigh-ins.

The list of fighters that can’t fight Darren Till for one reason or anther is nearly longer than the people he’s actually fought. It looks like this whole thing may go full circle back to Gunnar Nelson. The two seemed to be a go for tonight’s UFC London card, but once again things fell through. Fingers crossed that someone steps up to main event this UFC Liverpool card. It’s clear they want to push Till, it’s not often they announce one-half of a main even with a sizzle reel.
