UFC middleweight Darren Till slid into the direct messages of UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, sending the champ a fierce warning. Adesanya and Till are known to exchange DM’s with each other, and now Till has taken his DM game to the next level. On Tuesday, the champ shared on his Twitter a video message Till sent him in a DM, with “The Gorilla” making it clear he wants to step into the Octagon with “The Last Stylebender.”

UFC middleweight contender Darren Till is apparently packing on the pounds during quarantine, showing off a picture of his bulging stomach on social media. Till was one of the biggest welterweights in the UFC but had difficulty making the weight and was forced to move up to middleweight after struggling to shave the weight. In his debut at 185lbs, he was able to edge out a split decision over top contender Kelvin Gastelum.

Jared Cannonier and Darren Till have one thing in common, and that is their choice of nicknames. “The Killa Gorilla” Cannonier and “The Gorilla” Till have another thing in common too, they are both eyeing a shot at the middleweight title. The 185-pound contenders could both be one victory away from earning a fight against the division’s champion, Israel Adesanya. The Gorillas were rumoured to fight each other at UFC 248, but visa problems for Till and an injury from Cannonier meant the primate vs. primate matchup never happened.

UFC middleweight contender Darren Till says he has accepted the fight against Jared Cannonier for the upcoming UFC 248 card in March. Till was set to fight Cannonier after Robert Whittaker withdrew the fight but UFC president Dana White said Till injured his ankle and had to be removed from the card. That left Cannonier without an opponent, and White confirmed on the weekend that he would still have Cannonier making weight for the card just in case anything happens to the headliners, UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and Yoel Romero.
