“Just the same old sh*t, broken bones here there, broken hands. Just same old sh*t. What every fighter I’m sure had but hasn’t got the f*ckin’ bollocks to talk about.
What you see is what you get with me. Every fighter goes into a fight 90 percent, 80 percent…doesn’t go in 100 percent and if he does he doesn’t f*ckin’ trained right. I train my bollocks off. Every day I’m punching people hard, me hands are hurtin’, you know.
All us fighters, we carry injuries. Unless I trip now on a wire *laughs*…n’ break me leg, nothing’s keepin’ me off that fight. Nothin’ ever will and if I go into that fight with an injury I won’t speak about it and if I lose that fight because of an injury, I won’t speak about it after.
Because when you go into a fight, you go in knowing you can win. If you come out of that fight sayin’, ‘I didn’t win because of this’, you weren’t in that fight there not knowing you can win so why did you f*ckin’ go in that fight. I go in knowing I can win with injury or without injury.”
Darren Till has proven that he’s a rather confident man and isn’t shy to let everyone know about it. What you see is definitely what you get with Liverpool’s finest.
The 17-0-1 title challenger looks to become one of the youngest champions in UFC history come this Saturday when he takes on Tyron Woodley at UFC 228. Till is only 25-years old and finds himself headed into the biggest fight of his young career.
Till earned his crack at the gold after a surprising upset win over the two-time title challenger Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson in the UFC’s first trip to Till’s hometown of Liverpool.
Prior to that was when he really put himself on the map with his first round destruction of the veteran Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone.
Till’s long-term goal is to go down as the greatest fighter to ever do it. A win on Saturday would definitely be a great start to reaching that.
