Deiveson Figueiredo has changed his tune regarding UFC 277’s interim title fight between Brandon Moreno and Kai Kara-France. Later this month at UFC 277, Brandon Moreno and Kai Kara-France will battle it out for the interim flyweight championship with the winner going on to face current champion Deiveson Figueiredo. As it turns out, the champ wasn’t too happy with this decision, to the point where he even threatened to leave the division.

Petr Yan says no one at the top of the bantamweight division wants to fight him. Yan is coming off a split decision loss to Aljamain Sterling back in April as he looked to reclaim his bantamweight title. Since then, he has been clamoring for a fight and said he would be ready to return in the fall, yet it appears he is having a hard time getting a willing opponent.

There, Kara-France picked up the biggest win of his career, as he handed the undefeated Russian his first loss, by decision. The victory was enough to earn him an interim flyweight title shot.

Since that original proclamation, he’s stated that he’ll only fight him again for $1 million dollars, and that a possible fourth fight won’t be held in Mexico.
