Fighters react to Derrick Lewis defeating Francis Ngannou
A key heavyweight fight featuring former title challenger Francis Ngannou taking on perennial contender Derrick Lewis served as the co-headliner of tonight’s UFC 226 pay-per-view event in Las Vegas.
The Lewis vs. Ngannou fight was expected to be a barn burner, with most fans and analysts believing it would end within the first five minutes.
Unfortunately for fight fans, the fight did not deliver whatsoever. In fact, it could very go down as one of the worst UFC fights of all-time.
In the end, Derrick Lewis was awarded a unanimous decision victory. There was really no question in the result, as Derrick’s opponent Francis Ngannou threw barely any strikes.
Here is how the pros reacted to tonight’s disappointing UFC 226 co-main event:
At least @joerogan isn’t holding back. Being brutally honest. Love the honesty. He is the 🐐

I think that last fight proves how much mentality has to do with fighting too. It’s not always skill and fitness. #ufc226
