Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone gives Reebok a slap across the face
Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone was not happy about his fine that cost him “a LOT” of money after his fight with Rafael dos Anjos on UFC on FOX 17.
Cerrone who wore a patriotic patch in honor of his terminally ill grandmother, was fined from Reebok for violating their uniform code. “Cowboy” later issued Reebok a challenge to donate his fine amount to a patriotic charity, and that he would even match the amount toward the same charity. The corporate sponsor never accepted the challenge and the buzz has since fizzled down after the event.
It looks like Reebok’s competitor in the athletic wear market may have caught wind of Cerrone butting heads with the UFC uniform sponsor. “Cowboy” posted a photo to his Instagram account that surely looked to be an endorsement for NIKE.
Cerrone’s post was captioned:
“Sure love the way my @nike shoes and shorts fit! So many different styles & color options!! @niketraining.”
Will this get Cerrone into more trouble with Reebok and possibly the UFC?
