Cowboy Cerrone: “According to my pay, I don’t mean sh*t to the UFC”

By Chris Taylor - June 19, 2016

Former UFC lightweight title challenger Donald Cerrone picked up an impressive TKO victory over Patrick Cote in the co-main event of last night’s UFC Fight Night 89 card in Ottawa.

At the events post-fight press conference, “Cowboy” voiced his displeasure with his current UFC contract:

“That all sounds nice, but according to my pay, I don’t mean shit to the UFC,” Cerrone stated. “But we’ll see. I’ll talk to Dana after this, and see if we can figure that out.”

Cerrone’s last disclosed salary came from his title bout with Rafael dos Anjos, where he earned $79,000.

Cerrone has always been good to the UFC, stepping up on short-notice for the promotion on frequent occasion.
