Eddie Alvarez vs. Donald Cerrone 2?

Since losing his octagon debut to Donald Cerrone via decision at UFC 178 in September of 2014, former Bellator champion Eddie Alvarez (27-4 MMA) has put together back-to-back victories over top contenders and former MMA champions Gilbert Melendez and Anthony Pettis inside of the octagon.

The 32-year-old took to Twitter where he asked “who is next”, check it out:

Alvarez’s tweet was quickly responded to by Donald Cerrone. “Cowboy”, who pretty much dominated Alvarez in their fight at UFC 178, had the following reply to Alvarez:

The Alvarez vs. Cerrone rematch actually would make sense given the current landscape of the UFC’s lightweight division. Do you think Eddie has improved enough to take out “Cowboy”? Is this a rematch you would like to see put together by UFC officials? Sound off PENN Nation!
