Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone corrects his homophobic comment, maintains criticism of Daniel Cormier
A lot of fans were not happy with the way UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier fought Anderson Silva at UFC 200.
The world champion of the 205-pound weight class had the edge in weight over the former middleweight champ, who came in on two days notice. Cormier used his wrestling to take Silva to the ground and controlled him for the majority of the fight.
Fellow UFC fighter, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone made it very clear that he was not a fan of Cormier’s implemented game plan and stepped over the line when he commented that Cormier fought “like a f*g.”
Cerrone later apologized for his use of the slur and reiterated on twitter that he chose to use the wrong word in his criticism of Cormier.
So the fuck I'm I. Words taken totally out of context. I meant it as he fought like a bitch https://t.co/WZxn9Cjl8b

Yes I 10000% agree. Was the wrong choice of words https://t.co/rqXYLGEike

Cormier did not take to Cerrone’s comment very well and fired back but it seems like the only thing “Cowboy” regrets is the use of his words and not so much his criticism of the light heavyweight champ.
