UFC rankings shaken up, new #1 welterweight and Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone ranked in two divisions
The UFC rankings were adjusted following the UFC Fight Night 89 event over the weekend.

The main event winner Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson climbed to the top of the UFC welterweight division after picking up a unanimous decision win over the former #1 ranked welterweight, Rory MacDonald, who dropped down a spot to #2.
Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone also made some noise in the welterweight division, finishing Patrick Cote in the third round by TKO. Cerrone finds himself ranked #14 in the welterweight division and the #4 ranked lightweight.
Newly ranked #7 Joanne Calderwood jumped up five spots in the UFC women’s strawweight division after finishing Valerie Letourneau, who dropped down 4 spots to #9.
