On Saturday night, on the main card of UFC 206, South Korean featherweight prospect Doo Ho Choi will face the toughest test of his career in Cub Swanson. If he’s able to pass this test, he’ll move to 4-0 in the UFC’s crowded featherweight division, and emerge as a legitimate title contender. Unfortunately, there’s a bit of a cloud hanging over Choi’s rapid rise up the featherweight ranks: he could soon be forced out of action to partake in two years of mandatory military service.

This Saturday, the UFC will return to Toronto for the first time since September of 2013. It will do so with UFC 206, a card that has been rocked by fighter withdrawals but still stands out as a very exciting one.

‘The Korean Superboy’ Choi Doo-Ho has been on a bit of a tear since making his debut with the UFC in late 2014. In his first Octagon appearance, Choi knocked out Juan Puig in just 18 seconds at ‘UFC Fight Night: Austin’, leaving fight fans in awe of his lightning quick striking. Unfortunately, it was an entire year before Choi returned to the Octagon. When he did however, it was in front of a hometown crowd at ‘UFC Fight Night: Seoul’, where he picked up yet another impressive KO win, this time in 1 minute and 33 seconds over Sam Sicilia, earning himself a performance of the night bonus in the process.
